In 2019, Southwind Drum and Bugle made big strides in building its program, earning Most Improved Corps in DCI’s Open Class. One key to the corps’ continued growth? Continuity in its percussion staff.
According to Lawrence LeClaire, Southwind Corps Director, “We grew up a lot this past year, and percussion helped lead the way. Our percussion made big strides over 2018, and all credit is due to our great percussion staff. They have patiently recruited and cultivated talent. So we can only be even more pumped about the year ahead.”

“This is an incredible staff,” adds LeClaire. If the progress we made over the past season is any indication, I can’t wait to see what we do in the season ahead.
